Schedule your appointment
Locate a fingerprint collection site close to you and schedule a fingerprinting appointment. At the end of the transaction, a Payment ID and a QR Code will be generated.
What to bring?
Please bring two non-expired photo identifications, one of which must be government issued, such as driver license or passport. Be sure to have your Payment ID and QR Code with you or on your phone.
Results
In most cases, your organizer will receive the FBI results within hours after you have been fingerprinted. But, it can take up to 48 hours.
BACKGROUND CLEARANCE
Your employer or organizer has partnered with ApplicantServices.com to streamline the fingerprinting process for an FBI Background Check. The registration process will prompt you to: complete your personal information, select a fingerprinting location, make an appointment, and watch a short video on how to prepare for the fingerprinting session to minimize rejection.
EMAIL AUTHENTICATION
The first step in the registration process will be to authenticate your email address. Once you provide your email address, you will receive a 6-digit code in your email box. Note, if you provide your cell phone number while creating the transaction, you will receive appointment text reminders. To track transaction progress, use the Transaction History link at the top of this screen.

While creating the transaction online, you will be presented with a map where you can search for the nearest Live Scan location. If there is not a Live Scan location near you, then the fingerprint card processing option will automatically appear.

If you do not see a payment page while creating the transaction, then we will bill your organizer for the transaction fee. Otherwise, you will be presented with the cost of fingerprinting while creating the transaction.

Two Forms of Identification

Primary Identification (bring 2 of the following non-expired IDs)

  • U.S. Active Duty/Retiree/Reservist Military Identification Card (000 10-2)
  • U.S. Passport
  • Federal government Personal Identity Verification Card (PIV)
  • Department of Defense Common Access Card
  • U.S. Tribal or Bureau of Indian Affairs Identification Card
  • Social Security Card
  • Court Order for Name Change/Gender Change/Adoption/Divorce
  • Marriage Certificate (Government issued certificate)
  • U.S. Government issued Consular Report of Birth Abroad
  • Foreign Passport with appropriate immigration document(s)
  • Certificate of Citizenship (N560)
  • Certificate of Naturalization (N550)
  • INS I-551 Resident Alien Card issued since 1997
  • INS 1-688 Temporary Resident Identification Card
  • INS I-688B, I-766 Employment Authorization Card  

If you only have one Primary ID, then bring two of the following as the secondary ID:

  • Utility bill (with matching address)
  • Jurisdictional voter registration card
  • Vehicle registration card/title
  • Paycheck stub with name/address
  • Spouse/parent affidavit
  • Cancelled check or bank statement
  • Mortgage documents

Your fingerprints will be submitted to the FBI immediately. Typical turn-around time from the FBI is only a few hours. Virtually all fingerprint background check transactions are completed within 48 hours.

In a small percentage of applicants, transactions may be rejected due to poor fingerprint quality. If you received a notice of rejection for this reason, please follow the procedures below:

  1. Go back to our website
  2. Click on Transaction History
  3. Use your email to access the page (just like how you created the transaction)
  4. Click on your transaction (if you don’t see it, change the date range)
  5. Scroll down a little to the section that says "Available Options for"
  6. Then click on the "Resubmit" link to initiate the resubmission process.
  7. Select a new appointment date/time with the same Live Scan location (you use the same location)
  8. Bring the QR Code and Payment ID.
  9. Then go to the appointment to be re-fingerprinted.
